The Second July Of Maisie's Life

We gave her some balloons for her birthday. When she woke up from her nap, we came in with the balloons and sang "Happy Birthday" to her

She got a bike! And a helmet. She isn't allowed to ride without the helmet (even in the house)

Daddy helping her around on the bike

Waaaaaay zoned out after a nap

Somehow managing to eat some carrots in her semi-comatose state

Always a great helper

Domestic diva in the making!

Maisie and her across-the-street friend snuggling their babies

Maisie in her green "sweemeen soup" from Aunti Mel

Swimming in her splash pool

Taking a ride around the living room

  1. Awww..so cute. I love her crazy hair. How is the bike working out? Is she catching on to it? I was thinking we'd get one for Owen's 2nd b-day, but I wasn't sure if he would be able to peddle.

  2. She's not able to peddle yet :) But we have her put her feet on the peddles and push her around and they go around so she is getting the feel of them alternating and such, and when I have a lot of energy, I'll squat down and go along with her and help her push her feet alternately.

It's good for her to feel like she's got something "bigger" to do and to learn. I wish we could have gotten a classic red one, though! Maybe for the next one.

  3. This is nikki from visible school. Rich encouraged me to check out your pics. Wow you really know how to make people see the beauty in people through your photography! (drew lewis is my husband's account)

  4. Aw, I love looking at her. She is just toooo cute for words. And it looks like at least some of the things I got fit her great - dangerous for me to see her in all these cute little clothes I picked...I just want to buy her more!!! :O)

I think Dan and I will try and "call" you sometime this weekend. Maybe when we go to Mom's on Sunday...

  5. So I wasn't sure where to post this, but I wanted to thank you so much for stopping by! My husband read your comment first, and loved it and mentioned it to me, and I've finally had time to sit and go through comments and figured if I responded to you on there, you'd probably not see it because it's passed now. Anyway, I agree with you and really appreciated your words. :)
